HYP Spring Flag Football, Frisbee, and Volleyball Leagues Registration are open! All sports are social and fun to play. Gather a group of friends and sign your team up, or sign up as a Free Agent and get placed on a team.
Sand Volleyball is back with a Tuesday and Thursday night leagues. All games are conveniently located on City Island Harrisburg. Sign up and grab seven of your friends and get ready for a great time. Flag Football games are played on Sunday mornings at locations in Harrisburg. The program is co-ed and split into a Casual and Elite division so you can cause your level of play. Learn more and sign up for Flag Football here.
Frisbee, in partnership with the Central PA Ultimate Club, is taking registrations now. unlike other HYP sports, all teams will be created via a draft. For more details on the league head to the website.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (June 25, 2018) – The fifth annual 5 Miler for 5 Charities, presented by the Harrisburg Young Professionals, arrives at the starting line in City Island on Saturday, September 29 at 7:30 a.m. for registration and begins at 9:00 a.m. Registrants can choose either a 5-mile run or 5k walk option. The course travels along the scenic Susquehanna River as the Harrisburg Greenbelt before returning to the finish line.
For each mile the participants run, a different non-profit is highlighted. This year, Amiracle4sure, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Bethesda Mission Community Center, Special Olympics Pennsylvania Area M, and HYP Outreach Initiatives will be in the spotlight. These charities will be receiving a portion of the donations collected to use towards their programs that improve the quality of life for the residents of Harrisburg.
“Last year, we raised $1,250 for each charity and are looking forward to exceeding that goal in our fifth year,” said Suzanne Patackis, president of HYP, “We’re thrilled to highlight and support these five local charities that are making an impact and providing valuable services for our community.”
In addition to the 5 mile and 5k options, children have the option of running a 1/4 mile Kids Fun Run. The fun run starts at 8:30am and registration for this is day of the event.
