Home Tour – Harrisburg Young Professionals

Join HYP for the 21st Annual Home Tour on Saturday, May 11th from 2:00-6:00 PM showcasing Downtown Harrisburg! The 2019 Home Tour will feature beautiful homes, businesses and resident hotspots that make Harrisburg a fun place to live, work and play. Following the tour portion guest will be invited to our SoMA Block Party in partnership with Sara Bozich and Harristown Enterprises. There will be free food, drinks, and music for Home Tour guests.

Proceeds of the Annual Home Tour will benefit HYP’s Home in the City Program. This program provides $1,000 grants to qualified HYP members purchasing a home within the city of Harrisburg. Through 2018, HYP has granted $50,000+ to HYP members.

Registration – 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the Strawberry Square Atrium (clock)
Home Tour – 2:00 – 6:00 PM in Downtown Harrisburg (maps and directions will be given at registration, and attendees will be directed to the start of the tour!)

During the tour, attendees will enjoy refreshments from local restaurants as well as a peek into the beauty of this neighborhood.

Join HYP for the 18th Annual Home Tour on Saturday, May 21 in Harrisburg! The 2016 Home Tour will feature the Shipoke neighborhood.

Shipoke is in many ways the oldest section of the city, settled by Europeans in 1710 as a small trading post. It was here that the Harris Ferry and Tavern was originally located, which is the origin of the name Harrisburg. After years of rehabilitation, Shipoke now is a picturesque, affluent neighborhood known for its beautiful river views. A number of festivals are held annually in Riverfront Park along the river near Shipoke.

Join us to tour beautiful homes while experiencing all that city life has to offer. During the tour, attendees will enjoy refreshments from local restaurants as well as a peek into the beauty of this neighborhood.

Registration Information: Hi Folks! Are you ready for the big day? We have been looking forward to this event all year and cannot believe that it is this weekend! To assist you, we thought it would be good to give you some information beforehand about the Home Tour. Event Registration: Opens at 12:00 pm Guests who have bought tickets and need to buy tickets can begin checking in at Noon on Saturday, May 21st. The check -in location will be along South Front Street in River Front Park near Passage to India. Please print off your ticket to show to the registration volunteer, as well a your ID. Guests should stop here first to pick up their guidebooks and wristbands. ID’s will be checked before receiving your wristband. Tour Time: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm After guests check in, they are welcome to tour the neighborhood at their leisure and explore all the area has to offer. In the middle of your guide there will be a map that lists all the homes and businesses that are featured on the tour. Each home will have complimentary food and drinks. Take time to meet the homeowner and socialize with other guests. While in the home we ask that guest do not take photos, smoke, or wear high heels. Please also pace yourself with your food and drinks. Some of the homes this year will be showcasing beer from local breweries! Bathrooms in the homes are not open to public use, however a portable toilet is available for use near registration. After Party: 4:00pm – 7:00 pm As we finish up the tour, everyone is invited to stop by the Civic Club of Harrisburg for BBQ dinner, drinks, socializing, and more! Guests are encouraged to use River Front Park & the Greenbelt to walk up to the Civic Club after they are done touring. We will have the infamous Sarah B playing music, and guests are welcome to play yard games in River Front Park next to the Civic Club. What to Bring: IDs, walking shoes, rain gear (hopefully you wont need it!), your printed tickets. Weather: The event is Rain or Shine- there will be buckets at each home to place umbrellas. Parking: Free Parking is available at the Pinnacle Health Parking lots located just North of the Shipoke Neighborhood and accessed by Paxton & 2nd Streets. Use the crosswalk at S. Front Street to cross the street to the area near River Front Park & Passage to India. Once the Lots are full, guest will have to use street parking, garage, or other available parking in the area.
