Home in the City Program


Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Home in the City Grant program.

Are you planning to purchase a home in the City of Harrisburg this year?  If so, you may be eligible to receive a $1,000 grant toward closing costs through the HYP Home in The City grant program, funded by the HYP Home Tour.

  • Interested homebuyers must fill out an application.
  • Eligible participants will receive $1,000 in closing cost assistance.
  • Awards will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Homes must be purchased within the calendar year, be a single-family home located within the City of Harrisburg limits, and be the applicant’s intended primary residence.
  • Applicants must be active HYP members for 6 months from the date of application.

The Home in the City grant program was created as a joint venture between HYP, Harrisburg 2020, and the Harrisburg Chamber & CREDC.
