Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood was like the little engine that could – a small local production with no budget, simple sets, and a plain-spoken Presbyterian minister, Fred Rogers, as a star. But work it did, because of Fred’s ever-present and compassionate way with children and well, pretty much everybody. Whether you experienced the show as a kid or not, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” is a look at this amazing phenomenon with humble roots, and a chance to re-live it. We’ll be meeting in the lobby about 7:30, as movies typically start between then and 8 – be sure to look for screen times on the midtown cinema website: www.midtowncinema.com.
If the movie ends up being scheduled at a much different time, look for updates on the Facebook event page. RSVP and questions to Joe Foner at joefoner1@gmail.com.
