Join Pine Street Presbyterian Church and Downtown Daily Bread for an evening of music, wine, hors d’œuvres, and a tour of the Downtown Daily Bread (DDB) facility located next to the church.

DDB is a mission project of Pine Street Presbyterian Church, a 501(c)(3) corporation, and has been operating in Harrisburg for 36 years. Services provided by DDB include (but not limited to) daily lunch, showers, laundry, mail delivery, counseling, and overnight shelter during winter months to the homeless in Harrisburg.

DDB is always looking for volunteer assistance with their operations, and if you are interested in supporting DDB and its mission, come enjoy free music (no entrance fee, donations will be accepted however) and take the opportunity to tour the DDB facility, meet staff members and discover how you can begin making a difference in the homeless population of Harrisburg! The concert will begin at 6:00 PM and DDB tours will begin at approximately 7:00 PM.

This event will also take place of the HYP Outreach Committee’s monthly meeting, who is helping to coordinate volunteer efforts with DDB. Questions can be directed to Outreach@hyp.org.

This is a joint meeting of the HYP Sports Committee and HYP Outreach Committee. The committees will discuss HYP sports league business, upcoming fitness events, and initiatives of interest to the Outreach Committee.

Do you enjoy HYP sports leagues or working with kids? Join the HYP Outreach Committee in coaching sports to 1st and 2nd graders at Sylvan Heights Science Charter School. No specific sports knowledge needed, just an interest in working with local students, expanding their opportunity for community sports, and teaching them positive sportsmanship.
