HARRISBURG'S FUTURE STARTS HERE. JOIN HYP!

HYP outing to Shakespeare in the Park. We will meet at PM Bistro Lounge (2007 State St, 17103) at 5:30 PM for drinks. At 6:45 PM we will head over to Reservoir Park to get seating for the Gamut Theater’s production of Macbeth (performance begins at 7:30 PM).

Please note, the performance is held at the outdoor amphitheater. Bring a lawn chair and/or blanket and anything you might need for your comfort (e.g. food, sunblock, bug spray, etc.). While there is no alcohol permitted in Reservoir Park you may bring your own food and drink or support Gamut by purchasing from their concession stand.

Since this will be the last performance of Shakespeare in the Park, there is no rain date for this event. In the event of rain, Gamut will pause the performance for fifteen minutes to see if it passes. If the rain persists, the performance will be canceled.

HYP is teaming up with students from CASA (Capital Area School for the Arts) and the summer camp at  St. Stephen’s to put in a skit/performance at the August Italian Lake Summer Concert Series.

If you would like to volunteer, clearances are needed to help us with our “classes” on Monday evenings 3:00PM-4:00PM starting June 26th.

Join us for our 2nd casual meet-up at Zeroday Brewing! We come, we gather, we have a beer, we eat some snacks, and chat about all things arts! Following our hang-out, we’re encouraging all attendees to hop on over to Midtown Cinema for the final night of the Jewish Film Festival.

We figured this would be a good way to engage with folks who can’t make our regular meetings, or maybe who aren’t ready to jump in and be committed to something year-round just yet, but would provide an avenue to be involved and have your voice heard!

Bar tabs/dinner tabs are your own responsibility. Hope you can join us for some constructive but casual conversation!

Mark DeRose Music closes out the 2017 Italian Lake Concert Series!

Along with his band, The Dreadnought Brigade, DeRose’s music calls upon his love for rootsy blue-eyed soul and classic rock of the late 60s and 70s. The band brings high-energy performances of DeRose’s upbeat, feel good music to stages across the tri-state region. DeRose’s music is perfect for fans of Van Morrison, Counting Crows, and The Band.

DeRose’s music is “thoughtful and provocative, laden with metaphors of hope and celebration for life. It’s the stuff that makes feel good music feel so good”.- Patrick Kirchner, The Fly Magazine.

**These concerts are FREE and open to the community! So, grab a lawn chair, picnic blanket and snacks and join us for Italian Lake Concert #3!**

Thank you to our Italian Lake Concert Series Platinum Sponsor, M&T Bank!
