HYP Sports Leagues-Game Officials

This is a great opportunity for sports enthusiasts, retired HYP Athletes, or anyone gaining experience in the sports industry.

$25-$30 per game and depending on sport (Part-Time)

  • Are you looking to make some extra revenue?
  • Do you enjoy officiating?

Experienced and professional game officials who have officiated or are currently officiating in sports leagues are preferred. You must also be certified in CPR/AED and First Aid (Preferred PIAA or NCAA Game Officials). It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you have experience playing in HYP Sports in the past, but not required.

Spring and Fall-Flag Football

  • Spring Sundays-(March until June, about 7-9 Weeks)
  • Fall Sundays-(September until November, about 7-9 Weeks)
  • Will officiate 3-4 Games on Sunday depending on the league schedule with one or more game officials.
  • Must have your own referee striped black and white jersey, whistle, and stopwatch.
  • Games take place at 9:00 A.M., 10:00 A.M., 11:00 A.M., and 12:00 P.M.
  • Locations include Holy Family Church, 7th & Radnor Park, Camp Curtain Middle School, City Island, and the old William Penn High School (Locations are subject to change within the Harrisburg City area).

 Summer-Kickball

  • Games are played every Thursday (June until August, about 8-10 Weeks)
  • Will officiate 2-3 Games on Thursdays depending on the league schedule.
  • HYP will provide you with a game official jersey for Kickball.
  • Must have your own game clicker and stopwatch.
  • Games take place at 6:00 P.M., 6:50 P.M., and 7:40 P.M.
  • Location of games are City Island, Harrisburg, PA.

Winter-Dodgeball

  • Games are played every Thursday (January until March, about 8-10 Weeks)
  • Will officiate 4-5 Games on Thursdays depending on the league schedule.
  • HYP will provide you with a game official jersey for Dodgeball.
  • Must have your own whistle and stopwatch.
  • Games take place at 6:00 P.M., 6:50 P.M., 7:40 P.M., 8:30 P.M., and 9:20 P.M.
  • Locations consist of the Harrisburg Salvation Army and the Zembo Shrine Event Complex
