The City Living Committee works to promote the value of living in the city of Harrisburg. In order for the city of Harrisburg to continue to be a great place to live, work and play, it must attract and retain a diverse group of residents. With many amenities, including the Susquehanna River within a short walk, the city offers great opportunities for an exciting and fulfilling urban lifestyle.

The City Living Committee plans and organizes the HYP Annual Home Tour, which highlights residences, apartments, shops, restaurants, and all the great things that make city living intriguing. The committee also works to facilitate awareness and education of home buying and living in an urban setting. Funds raised from the HYP Home Tour are used for the HYP Home in the City Program, offering $1000 grants to HYP members who purchase a home in the city, to cover closing costs. To date, HYP has distributed over $55,000 in Home in the City grants to HYP members purchasing homes in the city. For more information on the HYP Home in the City program, click here.

The City Living Committee welcomes new volunteers and committee members throughout the year! To join us for an upcoming committee meeting, please contact the committee chairs at cityliving@hyp.org.
