SUMMARY:HYP Book Club – “The Library Book”
DESCRIPTION:More than 30 years ago\, a fire damaged hundreds of thousands of books at the Los Angeles Public Library; it’s still a mystery today who did it and why. In “The Library Book\,” author Susan Orlean goes over the fire and broadens the discussion into a look at how big and how important of a role libraries play in our lives\, as well as the evolution of libraries across time. We meet in the back room (behind the children’s section) of the Midtown Scholar. Please RSVP and/or send questions to Joe Foner at joefoner1@gmail.com.  There’s also a great description of the book on Goodreads (a club favorite!): https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/39507318-the-library-book \nSee you there\, and happy reading!
