DESCRIPTION:The HYP’s “How It’s Built in the ‘Burg” series is a new program held every other month. The series is based on the popular NPR Podcast “How I Built This” about innovators\, entrepreneurs\, and idealists\, and the stories behind the companies they have built. With a host of our own\, HYP will pull in local entrepreneurs and business founders from the Central PA Area to share their triumphs\, failures\, serendipity\, and insight. Guests are invited to network prior to the event with a cash bar and appetizers. This will be a program that you do not\nwant to miss! \nFor our 3rd event\, we are featuring Amma Johnson\, Founder of AMMA JO\, a local fashion company at Strawberry Square. Back in 2014\, Johnson began her line of handbags with one design when she sold her first 20 handbags in a gift shop that was previously located at Hollywood Casino in East Hanover Twp. After the sale of the 20 handbags she used the profits to make 100 handbags which were sold to family and friends\, and at local expos. Since then Johnson has expanded into a lifestyle brand including clothing\, accessories and home decor.
