SUMMARY:NSP & HYP Run Club – Sunday RunDay!
DESCRIPTION:HYP Run Club is partnering with Next Step Performance on a “Summer Sunday RunDay” series\, inspired by Nike Running and comedian Kevin Hart to bring a community together. ALL skill levels and ALL ages are encouraged to participate. These runs are not about competition but are about bringing a healthy and active lifestyle to the Harrisburg Region. Participants are to meet at the Wildwood Park North Lot slightly before 8 a.m. for a light warm-up and stretching then head out on an approximately 3.1 mile (5K) run through Wildwood Park.

Mr. Hooker ensures that the operations and services of the organizations are compatible with and in support of the Board approved Vision\, Mission\, strategic initiatives and policies. His other responsibilities include strategic planning\, supervisor of corporations and agencies\, formation and oversight of management boards\, fund raising\, legislative relations\, relations with funding sources and training. \nMr. Hooker is dedicated to ensuring that the quality of services and supports are continuously improving\, and that the organization operates in compliance with regulatory\, legal and contractual requirements. His primary responsibility is to assure that the organizations associated with Keystone are financially sound and operate in conformance with generally accepted accounting policies. \nMr. Hooker has over 39 years of professional experience in human services\, 34 of which in administrative capacities. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of hospitals that provided comprehensive inpatient psychiatric services. He has also served as the Executive Director for free-standing drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. The last twenty years have been with Keystone Human Services. \nMr. Hooker received his Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare\, with a minor in psychology\, from Kutztown University\, Kutztown\, Pennsylvania. He earned his Master of Science in Management from Lesley University\, Cambridge\, Massachusetts. \nMr. Hooker currently serves as a Board member of Keystone Autism Services\, Keystone Service Systems\, Key Human Services\, Keystone Partnership\, Keystone Human Services International and Keystone Human Services International Moldova Association. He serves as a Board member of Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disabilities (PAR)\, and is a member of the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA).

DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraising walk that benefits local health and human service agencies.  HYP Parents is committed to help and walk for Healthy Steps Diaper Bank.  Healthy Steps Diaper Bank’s mission is to provide diapers to families in need to keep children in Central PA clean\, dry\, and healthy. \n  \nTo register for the walk\, VISIT OUR TEAM PAGE. \n  \nShould you have any questions and/or concerns\, please feel free to contact HYP Parents at parents@hyp.org. \n  \nAdditional Information: \n• Walkers who raise $30+ will receive a shirt. You must be present at the walk to claim your shirt. (last year they stamped your hand when you picked up your shirt)\n• All walkers who register for the Harrisburg walk by May 1\, 2017 will receive a free ticket to a Harrisburg Islanders game (the soccer team). Tickets will be distributed at the walk.\n• Highmark underwrites the cost of the event so that 100% of the money raised by Healthy Steps Diaper Bank’s teams comes to Healthy Steps to be used to improve the health of children in Central PA by enabling their families to have an appropriate supply of diapers.
