DESCRIPTION:Let’s go for an after-work walk along the beautiful Italian Lake and the Capital Area Greenbelt! This is a great opportunity to socialize and unwind. Meet at the north entrance of Italian Lake on Edward St. at 6pm. (Where Susquehanna St. meets Edward St.) The walk will begin at 6:10pm. Our walk will be about 4 miles total. This is an easy paved trail. We will turn around when we hit Reily St. and head back the way we came. We will end our walk at Italian lake where we started. \nDogs are welcome but must be friendly and leashed at all times. Sneakers and water are recommended. Meet in front of the Benjamin Olewine III Nature Center (southeast corner of the park/Lower lot) at 6 pm. Text Amy if you would like a pin of the exact meeting spot.\nThe walk around the lake will be about 3 miles. The terrain is a paved path\, mostly flat with minimal elevation change. DESCRIPTION:Come on out for a relaxing 3-mile walk around gorgeous Memorial Lake! This is a great opportunity to socialize and enjoy nature. This is an easy walk made up of flat trails through the woods and some paved surfaces. Minimal elevation gain. \nMemorial Lake is a State Park that consists of 230 acres and sits near the base of Blue Mountain providing many beautiful panoramic views of the lake and mountains. \nMeet at Green Way Outdoors Boat Rental stand where you see the kayaks at 10am. The walk starts at 10:10am. The large lot that is located on Middle Rd. (Off Boundry Rd.) is the closest parking lot.
