SUMMARY:HYP Book Club: "The Woman in the Window"
DESCRIPTION:The main character in “The Woman in the Window” (by A.J. Finn) suffers from agoraphobia and has recently been separated from her husband and daughter. In addition to keeping in touch with her family\, drinking (maybe too much)\, and playing online chess\, she spends her days observing her neighbors.\n\nWhen she observes a violent altercation between one of the couples\, she moves from observation to involvement. The book has been compared to a Hitchcock-like thriller (Room with a View comes to mind)\, and has been adapted as a movie on Netflix. We’ll be talking about both the book and the film in a classic crossover discussion.\n\nThe meeting is planned for outside\, so please plan appropriately\, including masks\, chairs\, water\, sunblock\, etc. We’ll be wearing masks and spreading out to accommodate social distancing.\n\nIn the event of rain in the forecast\, Joe will e-mail the zoom link to all RSVP’s the day before. Please RSVP and/or send questions to Joe Foner at joefoner1@gmail.com.
