SUMMARY:HYP Book Club: “The Overstory” Crown and Seeds Sections
DESCRIPTION:Due to this book’s length\, we will be splitting it between November and December. For December\, read the 3rd and last sections titled Crown and Seeds. \nTo finish out the year\, the HYP Book Club will be reading Richard Powers’ Pulitzer Prize-winning novel\, ‘The Overstory’. The story follows nine unrelated characters whose unique life experiences with trees bring them together to address the destruction of old-growth forests. Through interwoven narratives spanning multiple generations\, the novel explores themes of environmental activism\, the interconnectedness of living things\, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world. \nThis event requires registration. Click here to register. \nIf you have any question please reach out to Dave Beaver at d4veb3aver@gmail.com
