SUMMARY:Professional Development – Public Speaking
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe event has now been canceled!!!\nHYP’s 2017 Professional Development series is pleased to have Megan Shaffer\, general sales manager from CBS 21/CW 15 to go over some public speaking tips and tools. \nMegan has been an employee of CBS 21 for over twenty years during which time she has held positions in both sales and sales management. She began her career as an account executive before becoming the local sales manager for the Harrisburg CW station\, a position she held for 12 years. Since August 2016\, Megan served as the local station manager for all WHP’s on-air and digital properties before being promoted to General Sales Manager in April 2017. \nAs General Sales Manager\, Megan is responsible for increasing and maximizing revenue through on-air\, digital and non-traditional avenues and oversight of the WHP sales team. This includes professional development\, recruitment\, training\, corporate responsibility and community outreach. \nThe Professional Development Series\, provided by HYP\, is designed to provide content to you\, our members\, on topics ranging from building a resume to personal brand on social media. \nThis is a member’s only event\, and an RSVP is required to attend as seating is very limited. We will be at HACC Midtown 2 in room 202. Please RSVP to marketing@hyp.org by August 20th if attending.
