SUMMARY:HYP Book Club – "1984" – Book and Movie Discussion
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for another book and movie discussion from HYP Book Club! This month\, we’re reading\, watching\, and discussing\, the classic dystopian story from George Orwell\, “1984.”  It’s the well-known tale of a repressive\, totalitarian government that controls every facet of human life\, and a lowly worker who tries to rebel against it and realize his individuality. We’ll be meeting at the Midtown Cinema at 7 (movie is at 7:30)\, to allow time for a brief discussion before the film. Then we’ll watch the film and discuss the book and film after.  Tickets are available at the Midtown Cinema. \nSPECIAL PROGRAMMING NOTE: The Midtown Scholar is offering a 20% discount on the book “1984” until the meeting.
