The HYP Economic Development Committee will be partnering with Harrisburg University and featured guest speaker Una Martone, CEO of Leadership Harrisburg Area to host the first Professional Development event of the year on Multi-Directional Leadership.
Are you comfortable in your own leadership? Do you feel equally as effective leading in a peer setting as you do leading up? Are you supported in leading upwards when most companies and organizations exist in a top-down, hierarchical structure? Join Harrisburg Young Professionals in a conversation with Leadership Harrisburg Area’s President & CEO, Una Martone, at the next event in the Professional Development Series to explore multi-directional leadership and gain viable tools to influence and inspire within your organizational culture and beyond.
Una’s purpose in life is to help people see their best so that they can be their best! She considers herself fortunate to fulfill this purpose through Leadership Harrisburg Area where she has served as President & CEO since 2007. During Una’s tenure, Leadership Harrisburg Area has added 5 core programs; doubled it’s staff size; moved into an expanded headquarters; and increased annual outreach immeasurably.
In addition to her work with LHA, Una is active with Rotary International where she currently serves as Executive Trainer for Mid Atlantic President’s Training Seminar; Faculty for the Rotary Leadership Institute: Training Leader for Rotary Zones 28 & 32; and 2x Training Leader for the Rotary International Assembly which has provided unique opportunities for her to facilitate across many different cultures in multiple languages.
Una has earned numerous community awards and distinctions including a Doctor of Human Letters degree from Central Penn College. Una is a first generation American of Irish descent; the youngest of 7 siblings; married to Mike for over 32 years; and mother to Michael (28) and McCaffrey (25).
