Come out and play dodgeball, wiffleball, or other games with students ages K-8th grade.

HYP Junior Sports Leagues offer after school opportunities for Harrisburg city kids once a week during the winter, spring and fall seasons. We work with students through three different organizations: Boys’ and Girls’ Club, YMCA at Camp Curtin, and Sylvan Heights Science Charter school. Ages can range from kindergarten to 8th grade.

We split the groups into 2 based on age of the kids participating. Volunteers can have their choice each week of what group they work with (or if they have a preference for ages, they can stay with the same age group week to week!)

Volunteer opportunities are once a week for 1 to 2 hours. Volunteer days are Mondays, March 7th to April 18th with the exception of March 28th. We meet from 5 to 6:30.

All volunteers are required to have their child abuse clearances. Need more info on how to get your clearances? Please email outreach@hyp.org!
