Come join us for the first hike of 2020! Detweiler Park is a biologically diverse park consisting of 400 acres. The trails wind through gardens, fields, meadows, evergreen plantations, and mature deciduous forests.

We will hike a loop of 4.5 miles. This will be an easy to moderate hike depending on fitness level. Easy terrain and minimal elevation gain. Meet at the trailhead at 10 am. We will start the hike at 10:10 am. Text 717-585-3312 if you would like to be texted a pin of the exact meeting point. There is a free parking lot next to the trailhead.

Dogs are welcome but must be friendly and leashed at all times.

Wear weather-appropriate clothing, sneakers or hiking boots and plenty of water/snacks. Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended.

Optional– If you would like to carpool, meet in front of the Benjamin Olewine III Nature Center at Wildwood Lake at 9:35 am. We will leave promptly at 9:40 am. This is located at the end of Wildwood Way Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Contact Amy Moore via amymoore@howardhanna.com to RSVP and if you will be participating in the carpool. Your RSVP is strongly recommended so that you can be contacted if anything changes.
