March’s book is “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood. It’s set in a dystopian future where women are no longer allowed to read, and because of declining births, are only valued for their ability to give birth. It’s the story of an individual handmaid, who remembers the time before, and is trying to survive but also move forward.
We meet in the upstairs lounge of the Midtown Scholar at 2:00 PM, reservations encouraged, but not required (we like to know who’s coming so we know when to get started). Please contact Joe Foner at joefoner1@gmail.com to RSVP or for questions. See you there, and happy reading!
