Come join us for the first hike of 2021! Detweiler Park is a biologically diverse park consisting of 400 acres. The trails wind through gardens, fields, meadows, evergreen plantations, and mature deciduous forests.
We will hike a loop of 4.5 miles. This will be an easy to moderate hike depending on fitness level. Easy terrain and minimal elevation gain. Meet at the trailhead at 11 a.m.
Text Amy at 717-585-3312 if you would like to be texted a pin of the exact meeting point.
There is a free parking lot next to the trailhead.
Dogs are welcome but must be friendly and leashed at all times.
Wear weather-appropriate clothing, sneakers, or hiking boots and bring plenty of water/snacks. Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended.
Due to COVID-19 there will be no carpooling. Please bring a mask to wear at any points during the walk where social distancing would not be possible. Do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID-19, or live with someone who has or is being tested for COVID-19.
Contact Amy Bennetch via firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP.
Your RSVP is strongly recommended so that you can be contacted if anything changes or if the hike needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather.
Hike more, worry less, and make new friends!
