Utilizing TIC principles when interacting with others helps to create a more supportive and inclusive environment. This training will equip you with the knowledge and skills to understand and integrate TIC principles into your personal and professional relationships.
Haley Baumgarten, MS, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist and the Lead Therapist at Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. With a robust academic background, Haley earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and Psychology from East Carolina University and her Master of Science in Music Therapy from Molloy College.
Over the past 6 years, Haley has specialized in working within psychiatric settings, where she utilizes music therapy to support and enhance the mental health and well-being of her clients. Her extensive experience also includes working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing a well-rounded perspective on diverse therapeutic needs.
In her current role, Haley plays a key part in the Trauma Informed Care Education Team at Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, where she is involved in developing and implementing trauma-informed practices and training programs. Her work is dedicated to integrating trauma-informed principles into therapeutic settings to improve care and outcomes for individuals affected by trauma. Haley is passionate about the intersection of music therapy and trauma-informed care, and she is committed to advancing both through her practice and education. She believes in the transformative power of music and its role in healing and personal growth.
