With more than 25 years of professional experience in sports, media, and entertainment, Ted has held senior leadership positions with the Buffalo Sabres, FSN Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Rochester Americans. He has successfully navigated the challenges of P/L responsibility of large-scale entertainment businesses, multi-million dollar facilities, professional sports teams and a leading a regional sports television network, including complex transactions involving media rights, franchise purchase/sales processes, league governance, arena leases and scheduling, advertising and sponsorship sales, ticket sales, fan relations, board relations, customer service, marketing and facility design, finance & construction. Ted’s management teams have consistently devised and executed creative and strategic initiatives that significantly enhanced brands and achieved business goals. In early 2017, Ted took on his latest professional adventure and became the CEO of Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. Since his arrival, Whitaker Center has begun a transformation, exploring emerging entertainment opportunities such as eSports and launching strategic initiatives to reimagine the Harsco Science Center.
