Join us on February 23rd for Harrisburg Young Professionals’ 24th Annual Meeting and Awards Night at the National Civil War Museum. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate the year that was and the year that will be with a special message from this year’s president, Jade Honey. Additionally, we are excited to introduce our new Executive Director Meghan Bachmore!
We are pleased to announce that our Annual Awards keynote speaker will be Harrisburg City Council President Danielle L. Bowers! Danielle is a 2009 cum laude graduate of Spelman College, where she received a B.A. in English., Danielle was featured in the Spring 2019 edition of the Spelman Messenger, the official magazine of Spelman College. Danielle was featured alongside Stacey Abrams and other alumnae in 15 states and 30 cities across the nation and abroad. Danielle was named one of, “Spelman’s Political Warriors,” an influencer in advocacy, government and public policy.
In 2012, Danielle received her Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. Danielle L. Bowers serves as the Democratic Executive Director of the Tourism and Recreational Development Committee within the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Danielle identifies policy issues that directly impact Pennsylvania’s second largest industry, Tourism.
Light appetizers will be provided and guests will have the opportunity to explore the museum prior to the meeting starting at 6:30pm. The event is open to members and non-members.
