HARRISBURG, Pa. (February 18, 2026) – Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cody Goss as its new Executive Director. This transition marks an important moment for the organization as it continues to strengthen its mission to make Harrisburg a better place to live, work, and play.
As Executive Director, Cody will oversee HYP’s strategic direction, member experience, and community partnerships while supporting the organization’s ongoing evolution. His leadership comes at a pivotal time, as HYP sharpens its focus on three core pillars: Live, Work, and Play, creating a more focused and accessible experience for members.
“HYP has accomplished so much over the years, and I’m excited to build on that momentum while exploring new ways to support and elevate young professionals across the region,” said Cody.
HYP President Faniel Yemane shared support for the transition, noting that Cody’s experience and long‑standing involvement with the organization position him well to guide HYP through this next chapter. “As we step into this next chapter, I have full confidence in Cody’s ability to lead with clarity, energy, and purpose. His commitment and involvement with HYP, combined with his professional experience, gives him a deep understanding of who we are and where we’re headed. He is exceptionally well-positioned to guide our organization forward.”
On February 25, 2026, HYP will host its 28th Annual Meeting and Awards Night at Strawberry Square, providing an opportunity for the community, HYP membership, leadership, and board to meet Cody in person and welcome him to the organization.
Cody’s appointment reflects both his experience and his long-standing commitment to HYP. He
is a recent graduate of Harrisburg University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He joined Harrisburg Young Professionals as an intern before moving into the role of Communications Coordinator, supporting organizational messaging, member engagement, and community outreach. His progression within HYP reflects the organization’s commitment to developing and uplifting young professionals in the region. As Executive Director, Cody brings experience in organizational communication, community engagement, and collaborative leadership to guide HYP through its next phase of growth.
Since 1998, Harrisburg Young Professionals has been a driving force in making Harrisburg a better place to live, work, and play. Through various events, programs, and initiatives, HYP empowers young professionals to become leaders in their community and advocates for the positive growth and development of Harrisburg.

HYP is led by committee co-chairs and a board of directors, supported by a five-person executive team. To kick off the new year, HYP elected Faniel Yemane as President for 2026. Faniel is an Account Executive at Interest Media Inc. and has been an HYP member for 8 years.
Joining Faniel on the 2026 Executive Board are:
- Vice President: Olivia Edwards Rindfuss, Vice President at Triad Strategies.
- Vice President: Justine Fabian, Financial Advisor with The Rockville Bridge Group at Morgan Stanley.
- Secretary: Alyssa Mancuso, Senior Data Analyst at D&H Distributing.
- Treasurer: Andrew Essis, Partner at Flowers & Flowers CPAs.
Faniel is excited to step into this role, stating, “I am honored to accept the role of President for Harrisburg Young Professionals for 2026. I have seen firsthand what makes HYP such a great organization and I am eager to build on its strong foundation and continue strengthening the impact in our community.”
In 2026, HYP will bring on six new board members who bring their talent and expertise to their roles:

- CJ McDougald, Community Relations Manager at Capital Region Water.
- Rose (Lester) Neiliwocki, Branch Manager at PNC Bank.
- Kelly Dormer, Account Manager at Enders Insurance.
- Erin Serre, Policy Director at Office of State Senator Art Haywood.
- Roman Colon, Commercial Loan Officer at Mid Penn Bank.

HARRISBURG, Pa.(5/1/2025) – Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the 7th Annual “20 in Their 20s” Awards. This annual program honors outstanding young professionals in the Harrisburg region who are making meaningful contributions to their industries and communities.These awards celebrate the next generation of changemakers who are shaping Central PA’s future.
Nominations are open from May 1 through May 31, 2025.
Nominee Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be between the ages of 20 and 29 as of December 31, 2025
- Must work or reside in the greater Harrisburg area
- Should demonstrate professional excellence, leadership, and civic engagement

This year’s honorees will be celebrated at HYP’s 7th Annual “20 in Their 20s” Awards Ceremony, presented by Members 1st Federal Credit Union, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Hilton Harrisburg. Honorees will also be featured in the October issue of TheBurg.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (4/29/2025) – Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) proudly celebrated Earth Day with their 25th Annual Forster Street Cleanup, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and community pride. Despite early rain showers, 50 dedicated volunteers helped revitalize the median from 2nd Street to Commonwealth Avenue. Their efforts included planting over 200 perennials, trimming hedges, and removing trash and debris.
“I’m always inspired by the passion our volunteers bring to this project, but seeing so many people showed up in the rain to make a difference was truly moving,” said HYP Executive Director, Meghan Bachmore. “It speaks volumes about the pride our community takes in Harrisburg and the power of working together to create a more beautiful city.”
This year’s cleanup efforts were followed by an after-party at Zeroday Brewing Company to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the volunteers. Attendees enjoyed music, food, games, and camaraderie as they reflected on the day’s accomplishments and forged new connections within the community.
HYP’s City Living Committee Co-Chair, Erin Serre, said, “We are so grateful to our neighbors and fellow volunteers who helped us to make this year’s cleanup such a resounding success, even despite the challenging weather. Their efforts show that we can accomplish beautiful things when we work toward a common goal.”
The 25th Annual Forster St Cleanup not only beautified the local neighborhood but also served as a shining example of the positive impact that can be achieved through grassroots initiatives and community engagement.
