Harrisburg Young Professionals hosts Annual Meeting and Awards Night

HARRISBURG, Pa. (2/5/24) – On January 31, 2024, Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) hosted its Annual Meeting and Awards Night. The annual event serves as a celebration of the organization’s achievements, the dedication of its members, and the positive impact that is being made in the Harrisburg community. It is a yearly opportunity to reflect on the past year’s successes and inspire continued collaboration for the betterment of the community. Guest speaker, Downtown Daily Bread Executive Director Corrie Lingenfelter spoke to attendees about the importance of overcoming challenges, breaking barriers and creating impactful change in the city of Harrisburg.

Embrace your challenges as opportunities, draw strength from your experiences, and never underestimate the impact you can make, both in your professional and personal spheres”, Lingenfelter said.

A significant portion of the Annual Meeting recognized partners and community leaders who impacted the development and improvement of the city of Harrisburg.

Awards Presented included:

  • Business of the Year – Radish & Rye Food Hub
  • Project of the Year – Brethren Housing Association
  • Community Engagement Award – All You Can Inc.
  • Member of the Year – Jenna Reitz
  • Athletes of the Year – Casey Hawbaker and Jeff Deveney
  • President’s Award – Harrisburg University of Science and Technology

Harrisburg Young Professionals also shared their vision for 2024, the organization’s 26th year. HYP President Iqbal Singh talked about his vision for the year ahead.
