CPBJ’s 19th Annual Program Continues to Recognize Nonprofits

Harrisburg, PA (Nov. 9, 2017) – Nominations for the 19th annual Nonprofit Innovation Awards have been reopened! These coveted awards are designed to recognize local nonprofit organizations of all sizes, and their executives, that demonstrate innovation in their daily operations.

An organization can be nominated in one of five categories including: brand identity/unique marketing campaign, collaboration, programs, management operations and nonprofit leadership excellence.

Up to 35 finalists will be selected for recognition. The area’s three community foundations, the Lancaster County Community Foundation, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) and
the York County Community Foundation, will grant the winner and the runner-up of each category a monetary award to continue their organization’s mission.

To be considered, the organization must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

– Nonprofit is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.

– Organization is based in and serves the following counties: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and/or York. (Statewide nonprofits are not eligible.)

– Innovation was implemented no earlier than January 1, 2015.

– For the executive category, the individual must be the President, CEO, Executive Director or Chairperson for the organization for three years.

Nominations are being accepted online at www.CPBJ.com/events until 5pm on Monday, November 27, 2017. The site also has a downloadable form for submission. Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of qualified judges and finalists will be announced in January 2018. During an awards event on Thursday, April 12, 2018, each finalist’s achievements will be highlighted and the
winners will be revealed.

The 2018 Nonprofit Innovation Awards are the result of a partnership among the Central Penn Business Journal, the Lancaster County Community Foundation, the Foundation for Enhancing
