Sand Volleyball League Information
HYP Fall Sand Volleyball will consist of three divisions:
- Competitive: will be played with a maximum of 4 players on the court, with a minimum of 1 female.
- Intermediate: will be played with a maximum of 6 players, with a minimum of 1 female.
- Just For Fun: will be played with a maximum of 6 players, with a minimum of 2 females.
The league schedule can be viewed by clicking the “Schedule” panel on the main screen after logging into your profile.
The 2017 Spring Sand Volleyball Captains Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 30 at 6:00pm. All team captains or a representative from the team must be in attendance. The location will be announced closer to the date.
Skyline Sand Volleyball Courts
April 6 – May 18 (Thursday evenings)
Game times will be 6:00, 6:50, 7:40, 8:30 and 9:20 PM.
In the event that games must be cancelled due to inclement weather, league participants will be notified via email and announcement on hyp.org/sports. Our weather make up date is scheduled for Wednesday, May 31st.
Competitive Division: All teams will participate in playoffs.
Intermediate Division: The top certain number of teams will compete in a single elimination bracket. The number of teams will be determined closer to the end of registration.
Just For Fun Division: Teams in this division will not participate in playoffs. All Fun Division teams will get an extra scheduled game.
Teams are seeded by Won/Loss Record. Tiebreaker is number of sets won. If a final tiebreaker is needed, team names will be picked at random out of a hat by the sports committee to determine placing.
Playoffs are scheduled for May 25 and June 1st. If a weather make up date is needed, those games will be played on Wednesday, May 24th and playoffs will be Thursday, May 25 and June 1st.
