The 2010 Economic Development Committee is looking for members to fill its ranks. This year the committee will be refining and developing the HYP Passport Program, partnering with the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC in Experience Harrisburg 2010, and working with Harrisburg City Council to bring the voice of young professionals to the chamber.

This time of year reminds me of a major milestone - the purchase of my first home.
It was just a year ago that I moved into the old uptown section of Harrisburg. Since then, there have been countless trips to hardware stores and furniture outlets and more weekend projects than I care to remember.
HYP leaders Nicole Borda, 2009 President, and Amy Richards, 2010 Secretary-elect, were honored along with 38 of their peers at the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal's annual list of forty under 40. In addition, to our current leadership, former board members Andy Johnson and Stacia Zewe were honored.

DiFrancesco, a lifelong Dauphin County resident except for his time pursuing his undergraduate degree at Penn State University, has a personal attachment to the area and knows all too well its challenges.
