Home in the City Program

Thank you for your interest in the 2023 Home in the City Grant program.

Are you planning to purchase a home in the City of Harrisburg this year?  If so, you may be eligible to receive $1,000 grant toward closing costs through the HYP Home in The City grant program, funded by the HYP Home Tour.

  • Interested homebuyers must fill out an application.
  • Eligible participants will receive $1,000 in closing cost assistance.
  • Awards will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Homes must be purchased within the calendar year, be a single-family home located within City of Harrisburg limits, and the applicant’s intended primary residence.
  • Applicants must be active HYP members since the date of the Annual Home Tour and not lapsed for more than one month.

The Home in the City grant program was created as a joint venture between HYP, Harrisburg 2020, and the Harrisburg Chamber & CREDC.
